Posted By Brian Johnson, September 10, 2009 The Area Representative of COMINAD is a vital link between the National Center, Regional Centers, and Local Centers and Churches. Area representatives interact face-to-face with the mission committees, the pastors and the mission-minded folk who want to see each currently un-reached people group having a witness for christ. Most of the responsibilities of the area representative will vary according to gifts and time available, but a few basics are required of all representatives. Contact by phone with our constituencyPursuing a relationship with those who already are members of COMINAD, and finding possible discipleship opportunities in mission. Monthly ReportsA Report sheet will be provided for an end of the month report on progress in your area, new contacts made, new resources discovered, problems encountered, prayer request, etc. Regular contact with area mission fellowshipsGetting involved with groups that might already be meeting in your areas to play and mobilize people to missions. If you have skills in public speaking, computer database management, correspondences, planning conferences and seminars, recruiting, or other, they can all be put to use as an area representative of COMINAD. Qualities of an Area RepresentativeAn area representative should:
Time CommitmentAn Area Representative is expected to spend a minimum of 40 hours per month on the tasks outlined. Staff RelationshipAn Area Representative has a special relationship with COMINAD's national center and local centers in their region. It does not require as high a commitment as does a full staff person. Therefore, expenses and support should come from speaking engagements and other personal support raising.
